Yea I had a summer job for the park commission so I missed the show but…my friends who made it reported back that it was a monster! For all the right

reasons. Terrapin encore- need I say more.

Subject: When Donna is on she's on
All the Donna bashers out there take a listen to this show.
When her monitors were working she was on. During FOTD she is not over powering Jerry. Same ... during LLRain. During Music Never Stopped there was no over powering "there's a band out on the highway". She was on at this show and it adds to the effect. This isn't the only show she's on. So please cut back on the Donna bashing.

Subject: Original show was taped by WMMR-Philly
The concert was taped by WMMR Philadelphia and later played back on a Live Concert Weekend where we played this and other tapes that were recorded at the
...
Tower Theatre. Including Bowie, Garcia's 'Legion of Mary', Patti Smith and others.
Later I took the tapes to WNEW, NY our sister station and they broadcast them too.
Considering a Cassette tape source this is really good quality. Note* the turn around, taping to broadcast was so quick, I didn't have time to edit the 'tuning' segments. But Hell, it's the Grateful Dead!

Nice sound, great show. The balance on these recordings is way over to the left. I imagine its an effect from the placement of the mic during the initial
...
recording? Would be great if it were possible to balance the sound a bit more in the center.
Otherwise awesome.

While this outdoor recording leaves much to be desired in general, this particular AUD is the best of the bunch. Fidelity is far superior to the others

which are a little harsher in the highs and mids.
5 star show, 3.5 star recording.

Ahem yes yes and all that. Had this boot for years and though I am a Johnny Come Lately to this site, gr8 to hear this again. Have read many reviews of
...
the shows available, and ImHo lettem keep the boards. The ambience and crowd interaction of quality aud tapes can't be beat.
Comparing one show to another, or one era to another is not what it's about. Before the post coma years there were many highs and lows, and this legacy is one big symphony for all of us to enjoy. Like JG used to say, it's not the last note, but the next.
We are extremely lucky to have this treasure trove, and even luckier to have participated in this adventure, regardless of when and where we got on or off the bus.
This show was historic for many reasons....loads of people descended on Englishtown this day, missed it myself, a bit b4 my time, but it caught my attention, and remains a personal favorite, it's got that ragged but right quality which is when the Dead were at their best, warts and all or so said Phil so many roads ago.
There was nothing like a Grateful Dead Show. Godspeed to Mr. Garcia on this the 14th Jerry Week. Peace to all heads, living and Dead!

Wagner & Minches created a very nice AUD. Even if you have the SBD I'd recommend downloading this version. The 1/2 Step, Eyes & He's Gone>NFA
...
are peak moments. Altogether a very well played show. Ahhh, what I'd give to be there for the Terrapin encore.
